James Fain has one of the longest rodeo photographer resumes’ in the business. Fain has worked 15 National Finals Rodeos, 24 National Circuit Finals, and the Presidential Command Performance Rodeo in 1983 to name a few. His work has been featured in movies, books, album covers, and periodicals. Fain earned his master’s degree in photography in 1969 from Utah State University. He has made his living as a photographer since 1973. Fain has published two books of his rodeo photographs—Rodeo, A Decade of Action (1976) and A New True Book of Rodeo (1983).
